Coxswain – United States Coast Guard
Coxswain Seni was lost from his ship in the performance of duty. The exact location of the mishap was not known. Wood River Police were notified in May, 1943 by New York authorities that his body was recovered.

Seni enlisted in the Coast Guard, March 16, 1942. A sister Helen, formerly a nurse at St. Joseph’s Hospital, was a member of the WAVES.
Funeral services were conducted at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Wood River, with Father E. J. Douglas officiating.
